Katie Rappel

Crazy Feet has become one of Melbourne’s most renowned schools, sharing the joy of dance with thousands of students over the past three decades. Crazy Feet alumni have attended the Australian Ballet School, Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School, Spectrum Dance, VCA, and WAPPA. Whilst learning at Crazy Feet past, students have seized opportunities in professional musicals and live performances.  After graduation, some have gone on to have successful careers in all areas of the performing arts, including classical and contemporary dance companies, musical theatre, and television acting.

Katie’s passionate about ensuring that all children are given the opportunity to reach their full potential at Crazy Feet. She believes dance is a beautiful way to improve students’ confidence and general well-being. Being part of Crazy Feet has seen many lifelong friendships form, with a strong community of students and families creating a welcoming environment. Thirty years on and former students are now bringing their children to Crazy Feet.

Katie is dedicated to her personal development and growth as an educator. Katie is a fully qualified Classical Cecchetti ballet teacher, holding all the teaching qualifications, including Fellowship F.C.B.A.-C.I.C.B. Katie teaches Children from pre-school through to Advanced 2 Cecchetti. Katie has a certificate 4 in Dance teaching and management and a TAE40110- Certificate IV in training and assessments. With a wealth of experience and knowledge, Katie co-founded Spectrum Dance Studios in 2008 with Trish Squire. Katie’s knowledge and expertise merged together with her co-director, have developed a unique course to launch students to a professional level. This formula has a proven success rate, with many students going on to have exceptional careers in the performing arts industry across the world.
